    Jeff Cirillo?

The Brewers already have $2.8 million committed to Counsell for next season, and their offer to Cirillo is believed to be for $1.2 million, plus incentives. Cirillo, who also has offers from Minnesota and Cincinnati, is worried about how much playing time he'd get with Counsell and Graffanino on the roster.

I think he can still hit. Yes, he is another veteran at 37 years old, but he would fit as a nice RHB at 1B vs RHP and spell Hatteberg. I would do it for 1.2 mill. I just don't see much else out there.

Not only can he still play, he can be a clutch and very valuable pinch hitter and is a great role model. He is mentor-like player for the Brewers. With all the youngsters we have, he almost serves like a coach/mentor/advisor to management for players and even coaches. A relay man if you will. I firmly believe that is why the Brewers want him around. His experience helps the youngsters with the behind the scenes action and the overall grind of the season!
