http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=539548The Brewers already have $2.8 million committed to Counsell for next season, and their offer to Cirillo is believed to be for $1.2 million, plus incentives. Cirillo, who also has offers from Minnesota and Cincinnati, is worried about how much playing time he'd get with Counsell and Graffanino on the roster.
I think he can still hit. Yes, he is another veteran at 37 years old, but he would fit as a nice RHB at 1B vs RHP and spell Hatteberg. I would do it for 1.2 mill. I just don't see much else out there.
