According to the Reds, Thom will do 90 games in the booth and most, if not all, of the games for FSN Ohio. It doesn't say whether or not George Grande or Chris Welsh will be in the booth with him. He will also continue his duties with Fox as a game of the week announcer.

Another radio announcer will be hired by the Reds to serve when Thom Brennaman can not.

Now get us a real team and we'll be set.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Ooops, there goes our FA budget. Him and Castro.

Seriously, I am hoping we are making a splash. This is big, new uni's are big and hopefully a revamped team. Go for the gusto RCast.

I'm holding out hope that Castellini will allow us to add some legitimate big names that we don't normally go after.

I got the impression we could have some big moves, especially when I heard Krivsky say to Marty the other day when Marty asked him if Griffey and Dunn would be in the outfield this year something to the effect that we would be giving up a lot of offense if they were moved. He kind of laughed though and I got the sense that at least one of them could be on the move.

And sadly I get the feeling from what you said that he said that it will be Dunn.

    I bet you are right.

He probably has visions of adding pitching for him.

If he trades him, he better make sure he adds enough.

Wasting a chip like Dunn on something other than high-quality would be a massive blunder.

Really, the only way to bring in a top flight pitcher is either trading one (Bailey) or signing one. If we added someone like a Jason Schmidt to Aaron Harang, Bronson Arroyo, Homer Bailey, I would be just ok with having a Lohse/Milton/whatever pitching 5th (although given Homer's inexperience, I would prefer a capable #4.) This team just has so many holes though without adding a ton of extra talent without subtracting any, we're not going to get going anywhere unless we open up the wallet.

145 games on TV, man is that S-W-E-E-T. It was really classy of the D'Backs to allow us to interview him, I really applaud their organization. I really wonder how this effects the TV crew though, has anyone heard anymore news on that?

Oh and I will hold RCast to this:
"Like his father, Thom is one of the best announcers in baseball. Our fans deserve nothing but the best."

I hear Dan O'Brien is looking for a big time gig. Hope you can tolerate all his nonsensical gibberish .

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

An announcer doe's not make a team. Yes Thom is a good guy, but your team needs ALOT. Reds need to make a huge splash in free agency or big time trades. Maybe the new season the Reds can finally be a good team. You have alot a good players to build around. Time to get rid of the older players and go younger. What specs should be ready in aaa to do something?
