    Reds Acquire Todd Hollandsworth

from Cleveland for either a player to be named or cash considerations. To make room on the 40 man roster for Hollandsworth, Claussen was transferred to the 60 day DL. Another move needs to be made though before Hollandsworth can be put on the active squad........my bet is Denorfia back to AAA

I'll take it! Hollandsworth is a really good LH bat off the bench. I remember him killing us a few times when he was a Cub. The team just got better today!

Now, will it be Deno going back down?

I pray to god the move is LaRue DFA, I don't care if he gets picked up off waivers from another team.. I just dont want him on the bench to be used as a Pinch Hitter anymore, WE DO NOT NEED TO KEEP 3 CATCHERS.. it is really hurting us now having 3

I agree with that NFLman. Krivsky obviously couldn't get anything done as far as trading LaRue by the deadline. So we can't think that we could have gotten something for him. Its just time to get over him and move on. I would much rather have Deno on thebench than LaRue.

Marc Lancaster just reported that he will not be with the team until tomorrow. FYI.

I'd rather have LaRue than Valentin. At least LaRue is a very fine defensive catcher.

Nice pickup... Hollandsworth is a nice left handed bat off the bench, and seems to always get clutch pinch hits under pressure. He will be a nice addition to your stretch run....
