    Game over.

3.5 out of 1st. One game Wild Card lead. Tons of momentum on the side of the Cards. Tiring starters/poor starters.

We will likely be a game or two out of the Wild Card lead after the Cards series and at least 5.5 behind them for first. Not a playoff team to say the least. They are (57-54).

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

You must have missed the sarcasm.

Well the Cards have been struggling a bit also. Hopefully we can take at least 3 of 4 games against them.

Again with the negativity. So predictable from you.

I think we can or should take that first ame from the Cards. Weaver will be pitching and he has been horrible. Ramirez can get the win there. I like our chances with the pitching matchups for the series.

    Lizard vs Weaver
    Milton vs Marquis
    Harang vs Carpenter
    Arroyo vs Reyes

Pretty good matchups there. But then again, Narron has every opportunity in the world to screw up. Steve Phillips said on BBTN today that the Reds should win the NL wild card. Maybe he just doesn't see what this manager is doing. We could have won this game if Majewski did not pitch in the eigth.

    MVP: Griffey

Narron is an absolute moron if he knew all of this before the game and used the pitchers in the order he did. I would have even allowed Lohse to stay in a bit longer. At least he's capable of getting some big strikeouts:

Narron said postgame that Cormier and Weathers were deemed unavailable today because of frequent use lately, and Guardado would only be used in a save situation.

"You just can’t keep running them out there," said Narron. "You’ve got to try to do your best sometimes with the guys that are available to you."

So the eighth inning was going to be all Majewski's.

As for Majewski's comments on the matter...there weren't any. He bolted from the clubhouse as soon as the media walked in.
