Apparently Wise is decent defensively and he did hit well in AA, though not in AAA. He's better than McCracken I'd say, so the move doesn't bother me.

Hopefully since he doesn't have the "vet presence" nor the claim that he was on a winning team (even if his role was insignificant), Narron won't have man-love for him and might consider playing the best players more often, but that's probably too much to ask. And I know McCracken didn't get many AB's in comparison to others, but the fact he batted leadoff several times was enough to make me feel a bit sick.

He seemed like a nice guy though so hopefully he can get a job somewhere where it makes sense for him and the time (ie not jammed with OF talent like here.)

I remember Wise did really well this spring. Although that doesnt count for much, I am still happy that Narron won't be finding excuses to start Q any longer.

We have argued about whether the Narron signing was a good one or not. But here is an example of why I don't like him. I read a quote on him the other day when Castro got the start at SS where he was saying that he has to give him his chance to play as often as possible too. narron has to realize that there is a difference between your starters and your role players. Castro plays the role of a defensive substitution late in the game very well. I just hope that Narron figures this out and only uses Wise when necessary.

Because they want Denorfia to play every day.

Then its time to fish or cut bait with him. Either trade him to a team where he could play every day or trade either Griffey, Dunn, Kearns, or Hatteberg, so Denorfia can come up and play every day.

I think Denorfia is too talented to call up.

Either that our the team is planning on using him as trade bait somehow as part of a package and they want his ridiculously good AAA numbers to entice teams more?

That's the only thing I can come up with.
