Absolutely correct CRF. No way I want to see Homer in Cincinnati this year. He will have to be very dominant to even be considered to pitch for Louisville IMO.

We dont want another Wagner on our hands. Patience is going to have to be a virtue here.

On a side note; there are a few other really interesting arms in the low minor leagues as well. Cueto, Wood, and Ward are all pitching sensational and should be moving up right behind Bailey. Having these guys coming up in our organization with hopefully Arroyo and Harang still at the top, would mean very big things in a few years. Keep your eyes on those names fellas.

I saw Cueto in Dayton awhile back, very impressive stuff. If he had a bigger frame, I'd be even more hyped on him (not to say I don't a pretty damn good early impression of him, both what I saw and the dominating stats he has posted.)

Another guy I am pretty exicted about is Phil Dumatrait. Has anyone catched one of his Bats games yet? Anyway, look at his 2006 season, this might be the healthy Dumatrait we were all hoping to see one day. And the key thing (despite being a bit more hittable which is a concern, but the sample size is low) is that 3 BB to 17 SO. If he can continue to fine tune his pitches and his control, he could be a real nice surprise for us one day. Not on the level of Bailey or Wood, but another plus arm for the future rotation. Let's hope he has continued success in AAA.
    Code:
Team	From	To	W	L	ERA	G	GS	CG	SHO	SV	IP	H	R	ER	HR	BB	SO
    Lookouts 04/06	06/05	3	4	3.62	10	10	0	0	0	49.2	39	24	20	4	22	45
    Bats	06/05	06/26	3	2	2.93	5	5	1	0	0	30.2	35	12	10	3	3	17
Now compare that to his previous years

Just read somewhere that Cueto is being called up to Sarasota! Well deserved!

I agree about Dumatrait. He is the only pitcher in Louisville that I am excited about right now. I would look to seeing him come up to Cincinnati in September or even a callup if we saw more injuries happen. He has been pretty good his entire pro career if you ask me. So I agree, he is another one that could help this team one day.

I think Dumatrait was another one of those good Brad Kullman/Maddox moves.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Homer had another outing last night. And he threw a 6 inning no-no! It was against a pretty sad lineup, but he still destroyed these guys. Another huge outing and he is still at a 0.00 ERA for Chatanooga!

What's scary is that he is better than most pitchers in our bullpen RIGHT NOW!

I think once he gets his control down a little more, he will be ready for the next step. I just want them to continue to take their time with him. But he is making it hard to hold on to that.

6 punchouts to 2 walks in 6 worked..... and with no hits allowed, you better believe I'll take that. Bailey was named to the BA Hot Prospect List earlier this week too, hopefully he didn't let them down for their choice.
