Going to assume Pitcher stays in the 5 hole (subing for McCrackin) and Aurilia plays 1b.

Dude, this has been one of the most exciting games of the year so far that I have seen. This is awesome. Coffey is going to have to close this out.

He's throwing a lot of pitches thus far. Hopefully we can hold on the Sox are crushing the Cards again.

Big win for the Reds tonight as they take these very tough series! Man, a lot of things had to happen tonight and they did. This was one of the most exciting games I have seen in a long time. So we get a series and we may be starting to hit all of a sudden again. Nice to see Mays throw well tonight as well.

Our bullpen still sucks and they are why this game was so close. But a great victory nonetheless.

    MVP: Phillips

I only saw the last two innings and I have to say, there was luck involved but Narron's decisions payed off. What an exciting inning, especially considering we were up against Billy Wagner. Hopefully this will be the win to get this team going!

And what else can you say about Brandon Phillips? Seriously. Easily MVP.

Cardinals are getting hammered so the lead will shrink back to 4 games in the central.

    Guys I'd look at:
    Remlinger Atlanta
Scott Eyre and Bob Howry Cubs
Anaheim whether it be a starter for Kearns package or a reliever Brenden Donnelly.

Quit with the DFA guys and go after guys with some track record of at least SOME success.
Yeah, I would really like Eyre or Howry. I also like Mese and King from the Rockies. Elmer Dessans isn't having a bad year for KC either, so we could get him cheap.

We haven't actually taken the series yet, as we play at 1:10 p.m. ET today(Thursday).

Nice win though. The bullpen is still a mess as not even the better of the relievers are consistent at all right now, but we all knew that already.

I only got to hear the Bot. of the 9th tonight when leaving work but it certainly sounded good. It's too bad I missed this one.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
