    Coffey is now the Closer

    Per Lancaster's blog:

CHICAGO -- That wasn't an experiment you saw in the eighth and ninth, it was a handoff. Jerry Narron said after the game he had been trying for about a week to get Todd Coffey into the game in a save situation. Now that it finally has happened, the duties officially have been passed on from David Weathers.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

No doubt about that. We might actually have a few 1-2-3 9th innings now.

I'm guessing Weathers and maybe Hammond will be the primary setup guys. At least that's how I would handle the situation right now. I actually feel more comfortable with Hammond right now. He had a .79 ERA for May after an ERA over 16 in April (and much of that poor ERA was early in April).

yep well earned and well deserved. Now we finally have someone that we can be confident in to close out some games. This is the best closer we have had for a very long time. Go Coffey!
