I definitely had respect for hatteberg initially and loved the signing. And I have loved his ability to get on base this season too. But I just liked that hit so much that I like him more now.

This is Weathers' first at-bat since October of 2004.

I dont think anyone hated the signing (in fact most liked it from what I remember) under the assumption that Hatteberg was going to be a bench player and pinch hit master. People started to loathe the move when we passed up on young waiver talent and such, and more so by not making it so Freel/Deno was an everyday player at the time. Obviously though, I think Hatteberg has exceeded everyone's expectations thus far.

Well i guess we'll see if Weathers can close this one down to give the Reds the outright lead in the Central.

I was worried about the Hatteberg signing for a bit, but I recall several talking about how much they dislike him.

In fact, one poster(not in the thread now) contineus to state as much whenever Hatteberg doesn't do something right.

Well Weathers doesnt start this inning off on the right foot. So Vidro steps in now as they get to the meat of the order.

Vidro grounds into a FC. They could have had a DP but a bad throw from Lopez prevented that. Vidro on 1B with 1 out.
