    Reds Game 29: Reds @ Rockies 5/4/2006

Reds are coming off a huge loss from last night in Colorado. Yet they are looking to keep their first place lead in the NL Central. A lot of us have voiced our concern of tired players for the Reds. So we have to wonder what kind of lineup Narron has constructed and if he feels some of these guys can use a day off.

Today we have our #2 guy out on the mound. Aaron Harang has had a pretty good year already so far. He has proven that he can pitch in a HR haven such as GABP so Coors Field should be no different of an approach.
With this young Rockies team, the lineup has not seen much of Harang. So it is hard to measure what could happen tonight.

The Rockies will have Fogg on the mound. His ERA is near 5 and has shown he can be hit this year. Many Reds hitters have hit very well off Fogg. Dunn has 3 HR and a .400 OBP vs. the Rockies right hander. Both Felo and Freel have not had very much sucess on the other hand. So it could be ideal to give them some rest tonight. Especially with Harang getting it done on the other end.

Well, lets get a good game in tonight fellas! Go Reds!

    Lineups:

    Cincinnati

    F. Lopez ss
    B. Phillips 2b
    A. Dunn lf
    E. Encarnacion 3b
    S. Hatteberg 1b
    A. Kearns rf
    C. Denorfia cf
    J. LaRue c
    A. Harang p

    Colorado

    C. Sullivan cf
    J. Carroll ss
    M. Holliday lf
    G. Atkins 3b
    B. Hawpe rf
    E. Marrero 1b
    J. Smith 2b
    D. Ardoin c 0
    J. Fogg p

So Freel does get the night off. Good thinking here from Narron. I bet Denorfia is fired up for this one.

I predict a Reds victory at a score of 5-3. EdE will get the MVP.

Josh Fogg is 6-1 against us in his career. His domination is inevitable.

Fogg's the type of pitcher the Reds often seem to struggle with... not great stuff, not so great in general.

That being said, I think they will hit him pretty well tonight.

He's mediocre, hence, the Reds struggle. The Reds dominate shit and they hold their own against the shit, but it's the stuff in the middle that hurts.

Geki, I did not know he was that dominant. But the Reds will still hit him tonight. Its juts that I hope we can get runs in tonight and not leave runners on base. EdE will hit one out though and it will be at least a 2 run shot.

I like Phillips hitting in front of Dunn, he will likely see a lot of fastball strikes to crush as the Rockies wont want Dunn up with runners on. So my pick to click is Brandon Phillips.
