    Reds vs. Marlins Game 1

Today we are in Florida against the Marlins and a tough AJ Burnett. We will have our best so far pitcher in Harang on the mound to face the crafty right hander. A lot of our bats have been struggling, so Miley is going to have to create magic in Florida this weekend.

Casey has crushed Burnett. So Miley will have to start him. Griffey has been decent whereas Dunn and LaRue have not done so well.

Harang has been hit a lot by the Marlins. Hopefully he can fool some of them tonight.

Scouting Burnett: Burnett is coming off back-to-back complete-game victories. Through three starts, he's held left-handed hitters to a .216 average (11 for 51). Opponents are batting .111 (2 for 18) against him with runners in scoring position. Burnett did not face the Reds last year and is 1-3 with a 7.76 ERA against them in five career outings.

Scouting Harang: Making his fourth start, Harang is holding opponents to a .177 average. That includes a .133 mark (4 for 30) vs. lefties. Opponents are reaching base at a .271 clip off Harang, who lost his lone road start against St. Louis. Harang has faced the Marlins twice (both last season), going 0-1 with an 8.68 ERA.

Marlins short hops: Through Wednesday, LF Miguel Cabrera had hit safely in five straight games (10 for 21) and raised his average 77 points to .333. ... 2B Luis Castillo took an eight-game hitting streak into Thursday's game. ... 3B Mike Lowell is 4 for 5 with a double off Harang. No Marlin has more than six career at-bats off him.

Reds short hops: The Reds have won seven of 10 at home and lost four of their five road games. In beating the Marlins four of six last year, the Reds improved to 33-16 against them over the past seven seasons. ... Before committing two errors Wednesday, the Reds were pacing the majors with four through 14 games.

I don't really care for this lineup.

I am going to be pulling a two-for-one this evening though... following the game and the DANGEROUS storms in the area. Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Warnings are running throughout the area. Everyone PLEASE be careful.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

I don't like the lineup at all CRF. I hope I am wrong, but I see AJ racking up a lot of K's tonight.

AJ is bringing big heat. I dont know if it really is 97-98 like it says on the gun, but it looks to be at least 94-95.
