Yeah, but he wouldn't have to run, which would save his legs to a certain degree.

wow to think, if we had a team full of team players, our lineup could look like this.

    Freel CF
    Lopez SS
    Griffey LF
    Kearns RF
    Dunn 1B
Aurillia 2B/Womack could split time with Rich
Encarnacion 3B/Aurillia if EdE can't get it going
    LaRue C
    P

so this helps if we need to sit EdE for a bit, Gets Womack in the lineup with Freel to give us more of that needed speed.

too bad it would never happen, Jr and Dunn won't do it, and nobody in the organization has enough balls to make them do it

Although I certainly don't want to see Griffey rushed back, I do think his mere "presence" (No Jerry, not the same one you are thinking of) in the lineup changes the complexion of it in terms of how opposing pitchers go after the team. You know there is a subconcious "GRIFFEY is hitting 3rd!" in the minds of certain pitchers when he is in the lineup.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
