Contreras for Game 1, Buehrle for Game 2, Garland for Game 3, and Garcia for Game 4

The Chicago White Sox don't know who their opponent will be for the American League Championship Series. But they know who's pitching for them when the series opens Tuesday night on the South Side of Chicago.

Jose Contreras will pitch the opener Tuesday night. Mark Buehrle will go in Game 2.

Contreras won the first game of Chicago's three-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox, allowing two runs on eight hits in 7 2/3 innings. Buerhle won the second game, allowing four runs in seven innings.

Jon Garland will start Game 3 with Freddy Garcia scheduled to start in Game 4. Garcia earned the final win of the Division Series over the Red Sox in Boston on Friday.

Somewhat interesting in that Garland hasn't pitched since the regular season (10/1 to be exact)

I don't like it. My ideal setup would've been:

1) Garland (would be on 8 days rest)
2) Buerhle (excellent home pitcher)
3) Contreras (staff ace since August)
4) Garcia (excellent road pitcher)
5*) Garland (would be tired; when sinkerballers are more effective)
6*) Buehrle (excellent home pitcher)
7*) Contreras (staff ace since August)

This would've set it up for Contreras to pitch game 7. Considering he is 9-0 with a sub 2 ERA since August 21st, I'd rather see him have the ball in Game 7 than Garland were it neccessary. Then again, I'm not the manager, Ozzie is, and he has guided this team to the ALCS, so I'll accept his decision.
