White Sox re-signed INF Omar Vizquel to a one-year, $1.75 million contract.
Vizquel turns 44 in April, but he's still getting the job done defensively and will again play an important role for the White Sox in 2011. The veteran batted .276/.341/.331 in 391 plate appearances this past year while seeing time at shortstop, second base and the hot corner.
In the few games I saw last year, Vizquel played very well for the White Sox. He got big hits in big spots and played a damn good third base. His numbers weren't terrible by any means and the price is fair since Omar Infante is due to make $2.5 next year as a good utility man.
