White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said he had never seen pitching coach Don Cooper as excited as he was Wednesday after Bartolo Colon displayed an increase in velocity to match his control. "A significant step forward," Cooper said after Colon pitched 41/3 scoreless innings against Oakland to take a big step toward securing a spot in the rotation.
Buehrle, Danks, Floyd, Contreras and Colon could be the starting rotation for the ChiSox which wouldn't be that bad. Buehrle could start the year as the #4 starter as Guillen wants to give him more time. Colon will have to keep it up if the Sox want to repeat as division champs but really don't see that happening with holes at second, third and CF. Its just good to see Colon and his huge self make it back.
