Masset has decent stuff and Richar could be a very good middle infielder. He will back up Phillips and Keppinger, eventually. He will likely go to AAA and play there.
Masset should take a bullpen spot right away.

Considering I don't understand where Griffey is gonna play, I'm not sure why the Sox made the deal. Anyone have some insight on that?

I agree about Griffey. Can he handle playing CF daily again? The Sox are set at the corner positions with Quentin and Dye, and Thome plays DH pretty well. Konerko saves runs with his glove (as opposed to Swisher playing there) and Swisher was the guy they gave up the farm to get this off-season, so he has to play regularly or that trade was a complete bust.
I'm not sure where the AB's come from for Griffey.
