White Sox Who is this guy?

...and what has he done with Joe Crede?

In 31 games this year, Crede is hitting .330 with 7 HR 25 RBI .379 OBP/.589 SLG/.968 OPS, and the most amazing stat of all (for Crede): only 5 Ks in 112 ABs. Of course, the gold glove defense is still there, but he has drastically improved the offensive side of his game. Is this a sign of things to come for him, or a hot streak that's bound to tail off soon?

Hopefully Joe will be able to finally put the Gold Glove he should've had by now on the board this year.

BTW DK, that pic is Crede's GW single against the Royals on Sunday.

Chavez has a firm hold on the GG every year.

True, but Crede plays at least as good defensively at 3B, so Chavez has basically been taking the GG every year because of his offensive prowess. Now that Crede is close to matching Chavez offensively (and if he can keep it up), he'll have a shot. Then again, considering the reputation basis that they give the award out on at times (see: Torii Hunter over Aaron Rowand last year), he might not have a shot.

Chavez has to contend with Beltre and Crede this season. but most likely Chavez will win the GG.

Offense has nothing to do with the GG...if that were the case, Payrod would win.

Chavez is a big time Defensive 3B too, and Beltre/Crede have been solid defensively this season.

Drop him now! Maybe that's the problem.

Seriously though it seems like he ALWAYS has these slumps at some point during the season and usually they are prolonged.
