    Cubs Cu-hubs close to signing Furcal

    From sportsline and various other sources:

    Newspapers in Chicago and Atlanta say Braves free-agent shortstop Rafael Furcal is closing in on a deal with Cubs at around $10 million per season for four or five years. The Los Angeles Times says the Dodgers are still in the hunt for Furcal, but adds the infielder could end up back with Atlanta.
