Cubs bring Walker and Williamson back

The Cubs picked up options on Todd Walker and Scott Williamson. The Cubs declined a mutual option on Jermoy Burnitz. The Cubs reportedly paid the 36-year-old a $500,000 buyout rather than pick up a $7 million option for 2006.

not really surprising on any of those. williamson has a ton of upside and if he comes back as strong as dempster did this year, it'll be a huge boon to the bullpen. Walker's deal was a no brainer since it was for only like 2.5 million.

and 7 million is a bit much for an aging veteran.
