Cubs vs. Brewers - 4/8 - Game Thread

Yeaaa... Game started at like 1:20 today so it's about 3:30 old and in extra innings now. I have to go to work in like 25 minutes too .

Anyways it has been a very good game. Just a second ago Derek Lee made a fantastic double play at first catching a ball and stepping on the bag with the bases loaded to keep it a tie game.

3-3 bottom of the 10th.

Jorge De La Rosa is pitching for the Brewers. Lee is up to bat now. Will the defensive hero turn it around and do it on offense too?

Nope. Fly out to Jenkins who made a difficult catch still. Perez is batting now. He grounds out to 3rd now Burnitz is up. He pops up to 3B. Going to the 11th.

Cubs lose 6-3 in 12. I'm quite disapointed in this team. Wood pitched failry well but had 5 walks while the staff in general sucked with 12 friggin walks. LaTroy blew it major in the top of the 9th too. I just can't belive we are STILL depending on LaTroy to close. Didn't we learn last year that doesn't work? I realize Joe Borowski is out but I figure we would have gotten someone else. This may be one thing Jim Hendry has failed us on. Let's hope today goes better.

well, we wouldnt have had to depend on him if we coulda scored more runs. frankly, we didnt really deserve to win that game
