    Series Thread - Cubs vs. Giants

    Sorry I missed this yesterday. Had a crazy day and a 30 minute trip turned into 10 hours (but tons of fun!). Anyways, Burnitz drove home Ronny Cedeno for the win. A walkoff win .

    Tonight the story is rain, and lots of it. It's almost 2 hours into the delay now. WGN is being pretty cool and showing Cubs stuff though so that is nice.

    Harriston got on, was running on the pitch and Lee blooped one to right. Burnitz gets a chance for the RBI now with Harriston on 3rd and 1 out bottom 3.

    Maddux already has 3000 too .

    Murton with a nice big hit, Barrett scores! Great stuff. Totally destroyed his bat on a ground ball, beat out a tough throw and it got away and Barrett scores from 2nd.

    Meh, gave up a run to the Giants and then Hawkins came in for the 8th. He got booed pretty bad. Barrett decided to hit one out to start things off and tied the game. Fans are chanting, "Hawkins!". Feel sorry for him. He grew up a Cubs fan aparently and just never worked here. Now to get this treatment .

    Burnitz is on 2nd, 1 out Murton up . Yay!

    Gerut can't do it so it's up to... Macias? Yes. That's right. WHAT THE HELL DUSTY??? Harriston is 1-3 with a BB today and has been playing absoultely brilliant lately with lots of clutch hits and you take him out for JOSE FRICKIN MACIAS with two on in the bottom of the 8th. Macias flew out to the end 8th by the way. I guess Derek Lee will just have to end it with a HR.

    I have NO idea what Dusty was thinking there.

    I don't know what the deal is with Marcias playing center. Defensive replacement? It's not like he is a center fielder. Anyway, why let Gerut pinch hit for Maddux, (I guess it's thinking of future, saving Holly for later use), I would have used Holly to pinch hit.
