I don't know what the deal is with Marcias playing center. Defensive replacement? It's not like he is a center fielder. Anyway, why let Gerut pinch hit for Maddux, (I guess it's thinking of future, saving Holly for later use), I would have used Holly to pinch hit.

could it have been the fact that he fouled a pitch off his foot in the first inning? He was limping the rest of the inning and was probably affecting him all game.

Last night was bit sad, losing it in the 11th, with all the NL East teams (other than the Braves) lost. Could have gained one game in the WC standing. Oh well. Z is on the mound for today's game. Go Cubs.

well, they win the series with beernutz driving in a run with a single in the bottom of the ninth (woulda been a double, but it wasnt pertinent as the run had already scored)
