Wood returns to his beloved DL

Time to call it a year Kerry. I am sick and tired of hearing about you on the DL. Go away!

You can just ignore the fact that he's going on to DL.

This is sad, but it's better. Hopefully the off seaosn surgery will help his arm. Matt Morris had similar surgery, and is doing fine. Anyway, Rich Hill looked pretty good on the mound. Well, I didn't watch the game, but stats looked pretty good. 5 innings, gave up only 2 runs, struck out 5, and walked one. Nice first start.

Meh. I'm getting tired of this Kerry Wood DL thing. When do we give up on the guy or try something else? It's like this every year, it's not freak injuries like it seems like Prior has sometimes (elbow this year).
    I aim to try

Best curve in the Cubs' organization.

    This was in the Tribune:
"A fourth-round draft pick out of Michigan in 2002, Hill made a rapid rise through the Cubs' system this season, starting at Double-A West Tenn, then on to Iowa, with a cup of coffee with the Cubs in between. He struck out 164 in 1091/3 innings in the minors, averaging 13.5 strikeouts per nine innings with a strikeouts-to-walks ratio of better than 5-1."
