Cubs will unveil a Ron Santo statue tonight. Well deserved, and came one year too late. I miss listening to the guy like crazy!

Cubs win something like 12 of 14 games and then lose two out of three to the worst team in baseball.

I've read that Ricketts is supposed to talk about the Cubs future sometime soon. Don't know exactly what there is to say, but should be interesting.

Supposedly the Cubs will draw 3M fans after the last 6 home games.

It's amazing that a team that has been this bad for three seasons can still coerce that many fans to come to the park.

I've only been to two games over the last two seasons, opposed to my normal three or four per season.

So Rumblings here in Cincinnati on Talk Radio have said that the cubs may go after Cincy GM Walt Jockety (his contract is up). Grab Tony LaRussa. and then Sign Albert in the FA....

I've heard that too. Its an interesting scenario, but I really wouldn't count on it. 1) Jockety doesn't really fit what Ricketts is looking for. 2) After the bad contracts the Cubs are regretting now, I can't see them giving out the deal Pujols would command. 3) LaRussa might get eaten alive by Cubs fans if he didnt "get the job done" right away.
