Cubs Bring Back Johnson

Cubs signed OF Reed Johnson to a minor league contract.
The contract also includes an invite to major league spring training. Johnson, 34, batted .262/.291/.366 with two home runs, 15 RBI and a 50/5 K/BB ratio over 215 plate appearances with the Dodgers last season. Johnson previously played with the Cubs from 2008-09 and will attempt to make the team as a left-handed bat off the bench and defensive replacement.

He's definitely a good defensive replacement and pinch runner. He did well with the Cubs in his last stint. I can still remember him robbing Prince Fielder of a GS a couple of seasons ago.

I doubt he ends up with the team after ST, but hey I guess it could happen.

I'll always remember Reed for robbing Prince Fielder's would be grand slam, and his amazing catch in Washington.
