Cubs 6 RBI in Starlin Castro's debut

Not bad start. Homerun, triple in the 14-7 route of the reds. Sorry reds fans. Wasn't meant to be for Homer Bailey today.

In other good news, I picked him up and started him in one of my fantasy leagues. Self high five.

A star is born! He went opposite field on a full count for his home run as well. The next Hanley! (at least until the Cubs ruin him)

Let me be the first to add the caveat in... it was against the Reds.

Great debut. Let's (me) hope it continues for the Cubs (my two fantasy teams.)

    Don't say that.

I almost shit my pants when he hit that homer. The kid has some raw talent.

Castro is still a 20 year old kid that just had 6 RBIs off major league pitching. Well, one can argue the major league part, but still. This may be his only highlight this season, don't rain on it!

And I see Mission has a thing for kids. He dropped Smoak for Castro.

I'm not, it was a great night. My comment was a rip on the Reds and not his effort. When I see an opportunity to rip on the Reds, I take it.

    Great debut my Castro, truly.

Lou Montanez never even became a rising star prospect. He was one of many first round picks in the weak year 2000 draft who flamed out before they sniffed the major league, that is, if they got that far. Only Adrian Gonzalez, Chase Utley, Adam Wainwright, and to a lesser extent Rocco Baldelli lived up to their billing.
