    Cedeno back with Cubs

    Cedeno back with Cubs
    June 28, 2005

The Cubs Tuesday recalled infielder Ronny Cedeno from Triple-A Iowa and sent infielder Enrique Wilson to Iowa.

Cedeno was batting .371 with seven home runs and 30 RBIs in 52 games at Iowa. He also was with the Cubs from April 21-May 17, appearing in 10 games. He hit .313 with a homer and two RBIs.

Wilson hit just .136 in 15 games for the Cubs. He signed as a free agent May 17 after beginning the year in the Orioles' organization.

Good move. Cedeno earned another trip up here and Wilson just wasn't working.

Why? He won't get any playing time. He should be getting starts and work on his glove and bat. Unless he will be starting at SS over Perez, which I highly doubt it.

He will be getting some experience at the big league level though. I'd rather guys get some big league experience and see how can do against big league pitching than starting at AAA.

I get what you are saying though. I can see both sides.
