One day after allowing one hit over six innings to defeat the White Sox in Sunday's City Series finale, Cubs pitcher Mark Prior reported no unusual pain in his right arm or elbow.

"I feel great. I feel like I normally feel after I pitch," he said. "There is a little extra soreness because I haven't pitched in a while. But I feel good and I am looking forward to my next start and helping our team win."

Prior threw 71 pitches in his first start since suffering a fractured bone in his right elbow after being hit with a line drive May 27. He might be allowed to throw more pitches in his next outing.

I'm still amazed he was back pitching in the majors less then a month after that. I thought he was done for the year and we were finished that night. Boy am I glad I was wrong .
