Williamson, Scott Wiliamson, back in the next month?

RHP Scott Williamson, who is recovering from 2004 "Tommy John" elbow surgery, made his first appearance on the mound when he gave up six runs (two earned) on three hits in 1 1/3 innings of work for Mesa of the Arizona Rookie League on Wednesday. The Cubs hope he will be ready to pitch on the major league level by the end of July.

I'm not totally remebering this dude but I think he pitched for Boston or Cincy. I'm not sure he will be a bullpen factor towards the end of the year or not for us. He needs to get alot better before we even consider him.

He was on Boston most recently...before that Cincy...so you are correct

I think this is the second time he is coming back from Tommy John, and to be honest with you he will be extremely lucky if he makes any type of an impact at AAA by seasons end let alone in the big leagues. Hes certainly got the stuff to be a dominant closer but to expect anything this year is a stretch.

I wish he had never been dealt from Cincy on a personal note
