    Ex Cubs Pitcher killed

    Geremi Gonzalez who was a SP for the Chicago Cubs and won 11 games for the Cubs in 1997 was tragically killed by a lightening strike in his Native Venezuela yesterday. He pitched from 1997-2006 for 5 teams including the Redsox. He was only 33 years old. This is tragic news and thoughts go out to his family and friends.

    I recall seeing him pitch a couple of times in AAA and thought he was pretty good. Its a sad situation.
