LOS ANGELES -- John Koronka sat alone in the Cubs' dugout hours before the game Tuesday against the Dodgers. But the left-handed pitcher was working, trying to get rid of any awe that might intrude on him giving his best when he makes his major-league debut tonight.

"That's why I'm out here in the dugout looking around,'' he said when he was asked how he'd control the butterflies. "You really can't control it. You go out there, and hopefully they'll be minimal.''

I hope he does great, but I'm not expecting him to. If he can give us 5 decent innings I'll be satisfied. He can really help this team in the next few weeks.

Well, he did have 5 decent innings. Not great, but decent enough for us to win the ball game.
    LOVE THEE NOTRE DAME!
