Hey Lou:
I thought teammates were suppose to support and fight with other teams. I didn't think fighting among our own team was the way to win?

uuumm... didnt see it yet, but sounds like Zambrano got the best of Barrett.
That Barrett is a scrapper... Remember him and A.J. Piersznski last year.
Saw that earlier on the highlights for the game. Pretty pathetic really.

what inning did it happen in?
I want to watch it on MLB.TV

5th...
Birthday Boy Zambrano comes out for the top of the 5th and ends up issuing 5 runs; even the pitcher gets an RBI double and scores a run. Next a mix-up in signs led to a Barrett passed ball and error, allowing Johnson to score from 2nd base. Barrett got crossed up and the ball got by him, then he tried to make a play at third and threw it away, allowing the run to score. So Zambrano leaves allowing 7 runs off 13 hits in just 5 innings.
Then comes the worst part. He and the catcher, Barrett, start arguing in the dugout, both seething with each other. They were shouting and going crazy, especially the birthday boy. Suddenly arms start flying everywhere and team-mates have to break them up as the battery goes after one another! After the scuffle Zambrano storms off into the clubhouse and doesn't re-emerge. They said later that Zambrano left Wrigley soon after.
Both of them will be punished no doubt, but Zambrano should be out for a while. Hell, Barrett could file charges against Zambrano since he was sent to the hospital.
I guess Zambrano wanted to make sure someone else on the team has a big mouth too, but I didn't think it would take punching a teammmate. Anyways, he sure is proving his worth of that huge contract he wants/demands, isn't he!
You really need to ask? This is Crazytown USA, population 1: Carlos Zambrano.
Filthy stuff but crazy as a loon, that's Carlos in a nutshell for you.

I wasn't asking, just having some fun with Carlos (Mr. me, myself, and I). I think he is trying/doing whatever it takes for him to get out of Chicago!! The problem is with his attitude and poor numbers this year, he could be spelling his own fate. It is too bad, like you said mission, he has flithy stuff!!
Sounds like the Yankees will be calling soon, huh?
Lou Piniella needs to step in and remove all the egos from his clubhouse. Is this his club or not?

uumm... if the Cubs keep this up, he may be joining in the fighting...
Stupid Yahoo still has Zambrano on the "can't cut list"
