Well, I saw your confusion of the terminology. Just because you don't like the controversial plays A.J. was involved in last October doesn't mean they were "dirty" plays. That's why I explained the difference to you.

You sound like a really mellow dude and I really don't want to bust your balls but hey, we each have our opinions. I haven't liked Pierzynski since last season and don't expect that is gonna change. And that play just solidified it.

Are you really a White Sox fan? What do they call the series beteen the two Chicago teams?

Interestingly enough, Dam echoes Don Cooper's opinion.

Said White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper: "Whatever was in the past is in the past. I heard things in spring training, but there hasn't been one glimpse of them.

"He's the kind of guy who you hate when he's on the other team, but you sure love him when he's on your team."
The article compared A.J. Pierzynski to Bill Laimbeer.

To blame Josh Paul for anything is out right stupidity. The ump clearly called A.J. out and then reversed the call. They showed the replays over and over and showed Paul catching the ball and the ump signaling out twice. The ump gets allthe blame on that one.

There are a few names for it actually. The ones I hear the most are "Windy City Classic" and "Crosstown Classic", the one they've started using on TV (oddly enough, this was before the brawl) is "Crosstown Showdown", but there are plenty of nicknames for it floating around.

Days later......Dam8610......Glad yer not to upset. I was talking SMAK. Seriously, it did seem like a dirty play but......we weren't there. We don't know the verbal exchange between the two. I just like basebrawls and talking SMAK after too many beers......thx for being a good sport.....
