    Cy Maddux

Maddux is off to the best start of his career. He is 4-0 with a .99 ERA with two wins against the rival Cardinals. His stuff is as nasty as ever as he is one of the smartest pitchers ever. He has only walked five batters this year and Doug Davis walked nine in one game! He is truly an artist and let's hope he keeps it going. He will be number 10 alltime in wins after this season.

he truly is amazing! this is the best start in like forever for him (he had a couple of other starts with sub 1.00 ERAs but he went like 1-1 or some such in it)

behind clemens? if thats who you put him behind I agree with ya as Clemens is the only one who is better and even than you could make arguments that Maddux is better.

I would listen to them, but I wouldnt agree. My ranking in another thread in forum.

What are the early thoughts of Maddux winning Cy Young this year? He is absoulutely th best candidate so far. I don't expect him to keep this up at this current rate, but he is well on his way for sure. I think he should have already earned an All-Star roster spot for this year unless he completely bombs it in the next few months which I highly doubt will happen.

I am just very happy to see Maddux still can dominate.

Arroyo gave him a run for his money and has continued it into May. But Maddux had one of the best months in baseball I have seen in a long time. I hope he continues his success this season.

Maddux was off the a great start, but he's taken 2 losses and a no decision in his last 3 starts, all against the Padres and DBacks.
