Cubs looking for RH power bat

SAN DIEGO -- The Cubs are searching for a right-handed hitter to help keep the team afloat until Derrek Lee returns but nothing appears imminent.

General manager Jim Hendry said teams usually aren't willing to trade productive players at this time of the season.

"Nobody is out there to do deals with you to try to help you and not help them," general manager Jim Hendry said. "Significant deals are awfully hard to make for the first 20 percent of the year. When you struggle like we have, you want to always look … but, in reality, we just need a lot of our own guys doing a better job."

Not even the Cubs are dumb enough to bring Sosa back.
