Well, not shockingly, the team that can spend way too much money for their own good () has a handful of players in the World Baseball Classic.

Two of the U.S.'s players, Jason Varitek and Johnny Damon, are either current or pending Red Sox.

Mike Lowell will represent Puerto Rico.

Doug Mirabelli and Matt Mantei are in the pool for Italian players.

Anyone who follows the Dominican team will hopefully see what Sox fans have gotten to enjoy for the past two years and change: Big Papi and Manny Ramirez, perhaps the only venue in which they will be seen together.

I'm guessing there are some other potential players if they need other relievers and such, but those are the basic guys, good showing.

I admit, I'm extremely excited for this, simply because I think it'll be fun to see both the international players that, in America, we don't get to see, and also to see the weird team makeups. I WANT MATTHEW WADE STAIRS FOR TEAM CANADA!
