Thread: Has Schilling figured out the closer's role?

Has Schilling figured out the closer's role?

2-1 with 8 saves and a 2.45 ERA in his last 13 outings according to Rotoworld. Just in time for Foulke to come back and screw him up again! Yay.

Seriously though, not that we're not going off of first-game reactions, has the Schilling closer experiment been a success? I think it has since it has essentially shortened the game to 7 innings when need be with Foulke out and Schilling has given a boost to the Sox pen that it needed with Keith out, not to mention they only messed with one role (Schilling from SP to CP) rather than two (Schilling from SP to MR and Timlin from MR to CP).

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

I would say it has worked out so far. Obviously it'd be great if Foulke comes back healthy and is able to resume the closer role as his usual self allowing Schilling to go back to the rotation. I think that'll be very important if the Sox want to repeat as champs.
