Far too much to copy and paste and the free subscription ends on Wednesday, but you should be able to see it now.

Intriguing article whether you agree or not...

There's no doubt it would have been beneficial financially, but those are the type of trades you make in the offseason. Making it during the season made no sense since we can't turn around and spend the money freed up on anything.

The problem is that Manny is, well, he's a spaz. He will change his mind from day to day. I believe his 10/5 rights kick in when the season ends, which gives him the right to veto a trade to another team. Even if Manny demanded a trade on December 21st, and Theo got a tentative deal by the 23rd, maybe Manny gets a positive fan letter or his eggs are cooked perfectly and he doesn't want to leave.

Logically, it will be more beneficial in the offseason even production wise for the money involved in regards to the FA market, but is it worth it to wait and hope Manny takes a trade. I can only imagine one team to which Manny takes a trade no matter what and there's no ****ing way he'll go to the Yankees when the Sox have his rights.
