Funny, but when owner John W. Henry filed for divorce from his second wife, no one raised the issue of whether he was distracted from his money management business or his ballclub. And wouldn't you know, the year he filed, 2007, the Red Sox won their second World Series on his watch.

Luckily for the Red Sox, Henry had a prenup and Florida isn't a community property state.

Now Henry is saying that he was against the Carl Crawford signing, another shot at Epstein. What good does this do?

So the Red Sox drove the price up on the Angels, and other teams that wanted Carl. That, sadly is a legitiment move in today's day and age. Crawford calls them up, says "deal" and than Henry still signs on the dotted line. And now you say you where against it? Crawford played you for a fool. It wasn't taken out of context and it's still a dumb thing to say especially when you have that player for six more years. It's news worthy because it was a shot at Theo and his baseball people that he's trying to take to Chicago with him. It's an extremely dumb thing for an owner to say and shows more of how the Red Sox are in disarray.
