    Papplebon looking good

With all the crappy news from yesterday (Schilling giving up 2 runs, Sox losing, etc), it was good to see Jon Papplebon pitch a very good game last night in Pawtucket. I saw him in his last start at AA where he pitched 6 no hit innings and the guy is a stud. Last night, during his first start at AAA, gave up 3 hits, 1 run in 6 innings. Not bad. Gives us hope for the future.

That's pretty darn good. He's no Verlander (that guy from the Tigers is just amazing), but Papelbon has a definite future.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

I've seen him pitch once and he impressed me. He has all the makings of a kid who can one day anchor your staff. Good build, live arm, and great command on all pitches he throws.

Schilling says if he remains healthy, he's a front of the rotation guy.

Let's hope that his pitching evaluation skills are as good as his own skills then.

Didn't Schilling work with him on his pitching as well?
