Red Sox finally Release Brad Penny

Penny supposedly requested his release. The Red Sox dump Penny to make room for new setup man (and Jonathan Papelbon's bane) Billy Wagner.

Will any team in contention pick up Penny and shug the mid-5 ERA and horrific starts off due to the AL East effect? Or is Penny destined for small market clubs as a reclamation project?

someone will pick him up since he was claimed. I wonder who it was...probably a National League team. They should have just let him go on the waiver claim. Now they have to pay him instead of letting another team pick up the tab. Then again, money is not an issue for Da Saux.

Brad Penny needs to be signed by that Celebrity Boot Camp show on VH1. Perfect place for him.

Penny should sign with the Marlins. It makes sense for him and the complete situation of it probably would allow hin to post league average or better numbers.
