I have no idea. But, I do know that the following is what I'd like to hear someone report:

"My sources tell me that someone will be traded from one team to another. his team will in return acquire a player, hopefully of equal value. or, possibly multiple players, or even prospects. cash may be included to balance the deal. we're not sure if that player will indeed be moving from that team to the other team, he could also go to the third team. we'll let you know more when we do."

The deal in the works is a very complicated one. A lot will depend on whether or not the Red Sox will eat some, or all, of Manny's salary. Getting Bay will offset the loss of production, IMO, and the Sox will get younger and more athletic at the LF position. How will Papi react to losing Manny in the clubhouse, however?

The deal seems to be all convoluted now. Goodness knows what's gonna happen. Bay may not go anywhere, and the trade may or may not happen...
