    Red Sox Redsox vs Red Legs

    Boston heads off to Cincy for a weekend set of games which the Sox will face off against one of the best young pitchers in the game right now.

    Game 1: Justin Masterson vs. Aaron Harang: Masterson has won 3 starts in a row and has been a great addition while Dice-K has been out. Harang has been quite the disappointment for the Reds with his win loss record of 2-9, but his ERA is kinda respectable at a 4.31 . He really sucked in his last outing vs. the Marlins going 5.1 innings and allowing 7 earned runs. He has also done the opposite of Masterson and is on a 3 game losing streak in his games.

    Game 2: Tim Wakefield vs Volquez: Tim Wakefield has pitched pretty well in his last 3 outings and won his last with a 7 inning 2 earned run performance. Volquez has been one of the best young pitchers in the game this year. He has posted a 9-2 record with a great ERA of 1.56 and has won his last two starts for the Reds.

    Game 3: Josh Beckett vs. Homer Bailey: Beckett continues to be up and down throughout this year. He puts out a great performance and you think he is back to his previous self and then he hits the wall and doesn't pitch well. Bailey has not filled in well having controll issues and he is looking for his 1st win of the season. He was horrible in his last outing versus the Cardinals only lasting 3.2 innings and allowing 5 earned runs.

    My Outlook: I would be really happy if the Redsox can leave Cincy with 2 wins in this series. Beating Volquez will be a chore.

    Cincy leads the Sox 3-1. Masterson is starting to struggle.

    Redsox lose the opener nd have a real tough task ahead of them tomorrow with Edison Volquez on the mound for the Reds. The road blues continue for the Sox.

    The Redsox get the victory over the Reds today 6-4 in 10 inning. Youk and Coco went back to back to give the Sox the lead in the 10th after in the bottom of the 9th the Reds tied the game off of Papelbon with an Encarnacion homer. The rubber match tomorrow. Bailey vs. Beckett

    They allowed 6 homeruns in the whole series. That is only an average of 2 per game.
