Orioles fly up to Fenway

The Orioles and Redsox will be going at it in a 3 game set at Fenway Park. The pitching match-ups are of some quality starters who have been pitching well of late.

Game 1: Daniel Cabrera will go against Josh Beckett. Cabrera has been pitching well , but uin his last outing at Minnesota he really struggled giving up 6 runs in 6 innings. Josh Beckett has pitched well in his last 3 outings and he picked up the win in his last outing only giving up 1 run in 6 innings.

Game 2: Two pitchers that are really coming off great starts and both with wins in there last outings. Garrett Olson has pitched great for the Orioles going 5-1 witha 3.86 ERA and winning in his last at Minnesota allowing 2 earned runs in 6.1 innings. While Jon Lester pitched a gem of a game in the brawl game only allowing 1 run in 6.1 innings and getting the win over the Rays.

Game 3: Another good pitching match-up of Jeremy Guthrie and Bartolo Colon. Colon has pitched well winning his first 3 outings, but had difficulty allowing 8 hits in 5 innings and 3 runs in his last. Guthrie has really pitched well throughout the season for the most part, but he hasn't gotten te run support.

Outlook: The Sox continue to play amazing ball at Fenway and should continue there ways. I am predicting at least 2 wins for the Sox in this series.

I was at the game tonight and it was the first lose of the season I got to suffer through. Okie Choke blew it in the 7th inning and then in the 9th the Redsox forgot to remember how to turn a DP and the game was blown open and it was history. The Sox lose 10-6.

Of to the Celtics game on T.V.

The second game of the series the Sox got out on top and roughed up Garrett Olson in the first inning for 5 runs. They were only able to score 1 more run the rest of the game, but Bartolo was pretty good and held the Orioles to only 1 run. Mike Timlin came in the top of the 9th and was really shaky allowing two more runs before Francona brought in Papelbon to get the last out and the Redsox won game two 6-3. Rubber match tomorrow at 6:05. Guthrie vs. Lester.

1-0 Redsox. The Sox scored on a Julio Lugo base hit scoring Youk.

Mike Lowell hits a Grand Slam and makes it 5-0

Then in the Top half of the 6th Jon Lester seems to be running out of gas and has allowed 2 runs.

5-2 Redsox.

7-2 Youk hits one out.

To top it off J.D. Drew gets into the homerun act with a two-run shot of his own.

Redsox take the Series 2 games to 1. Now it is off to Cincy. Oh boy this is going to be fun with all the Cincy Fans on here.
