    Injury Dice-K to have MRI

ESPN - Dice-K getting MRI on shoulder, next start in jeopardy - MLB

Dice-K is reported having some "shoulder fatigue" that could land him on the DL. Though no move will be made until the front office "fully digests the results of the test", Dice-K appears to be headed to the DL. This would be a tough injury for the Red Sox who are already in second place in the division with the hotter than hell Rays in first. If Dice-K misses any significant time, this could be a major shot to the Red Sox. Hopefully he'll come back healthy, and just as impressive as he has been so far this year.

This could be a major blow to the Sox rotation. With Buchholz also nursing an injury and now Dice K. I am glad the Colon has come on and pitched well. I guess if Dice K has to go on the D.L. they will call on Masterson to fill his spot.

That could be tough, having (soon)Buchholz and Masterson both in the rotation with Beckett underperforming, Wakefield and Colon in the rotation and Dice-K on the DL. You lose your most consistent pitcher. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

The Sox people say that they think it's just basic fatigue and should only miss one start at most, if he is to miss any starts at all...however that might change after his MRI tomorrow. Let's hope it's not the latter.

This is odd because he grabbed at his lower back when he winced in pain.

The plan for now is to have Dice K back in Boston for an MRI and it is still up in the air if he will make his next scheduled start which is scheduled for Monday vs. Baltimore. The likelhood of that occurring in my book is slim to none.
