    Tavarez DFA'd

    The Boston Herald reports that the Red Sox have designated Julian Tavarez for assignment.
    Tavarez had pitched just two times since April 24, and had posted a 6.39 ERA and 2.13 WHIP as a reliever. The Red Sox are thought to be engaged in trade talks with the Rockies, where he would start. The move means Craig Hansen will remain with the team.
    The Rockies need pitching more than most so its makes sense for them to be looking at Tavarez. I could also see Florida and Phillies being interested.

    I just heard this and I was actually happy about it. I never really liked him to much. I guess the Redsox gave him his last hoorah last night and said pack your bags.

    Good luck finding a job Julian. I can't get work at a Dunkin Donuts, idk how this guy keeps getting jobs in the major leagues
