Sox vs the Twinkies: 4 game series

The Redsox bringing there last 8 out of 10 game streak into Minnesota to play a 4 game set versus the surprising Twins. The first game will have Jon Lester with a 2-2 record with a 3.94 ERA . He has been pitching better of late, but the walks are still killing him. He will face off against Boof Bonser who has been off and on all year long with a 2-4 record and 4.29 ERA. Dice K will take the mound in game 2 and try to bring his record to 6-0. He also has a very good ERA in 2.43. In his last outing he walked a career high 8 men. He will face off against Perkins who I believe is making his first start of the year. In Sundays ESPN game Tim Wakefield will be going against Blackburn. Tim has been pitching his usual consistent self and has a 3-1 record with 3.33 ERA. Walks have also been the thing that has plagued him all year. Blackburn has emerged as a pretty good starter for the Twins this season. He has a 2-2 record and 3.65 ERA. In the finale also on ESPN, Clay Buchholz will go against Livian Hernandez. Buchholz has had his ups and his downs this year with a 2-2 record and 4.50 ERA. Livian Hernadez has been the best pitcher for the Twins all year posting a 5-1 record and an ERA of 3.83 .

The Sox will meet their doom in the Dome.

    Let the smack talking commence.

(Is it bad that I'm talking smack to a 15 yr old girl?)

Oh I can handle it. The only smacking that will be taking place tonight is when Manny, Papi , Youk and the rest are smacking the hell out of the ball.

    LOL!

You never really know how the Boofinater is going to do until he's in the dugout and out of the game. He could be lights out, or be lit up. I hope for his sake (and for the sake of the team) it's not the latter.

*Note: My friend called me asking for directions to the Dome. I haven't been there in almost a year, and I didn't drive. So I told him what I thought was correct...hopefully he makes it.

The Boofinator( Ha Ha ). Well the way the Sox bats are going it could be lit up for the Boofinator. As for your friend possibly not getting the right directions, that may be a good thing because he isn't going to miss much since the Sox are going to beat the crap out of the Twins tonight.

Interesting stat I read today in the Boston Globe
. There is a startling difference in production when Jacoby Ellsbury has started in center. The Red Sox have scored 114 runs in Ellsbury's starts, an average of 6.4 runs. They've scored 68 runs in Coco Crisp's starts, an average of 3.8 runs.

^^ I wonder if Francona is aware of that. I'll assume that he does, because he's that kind of guy, but I could be wrong.

Still 4-2, Twins lead, bottom of the 4th.

Boston's leading the Twins now, 6-5 in the top of the 9th. Lowell and Youkilis drive in the tying and go-ahead runs.

It's a sad day for Boston. Pap blows two saves in a row. He's not a pitcher I would have thought the Twins would come back and win against, but I'll take it. Twins up 1-0 in the series.

Two blown saves in a row? Ouch! I like Pap a lot but think I can out-dance him any day.
