The Sox invade Motown for a 4 game set against the Tigers and there mighty offensive team that really hasn't been living up to the hype so far. Let's hope they don't explode this week against the Sox. In game one tonight the Sox will have Dice K on the hill trying to keep his record perfect and win his 5th game. The Tigers will throw out Bonderman who has been respectful with a 2--2 record and a 3.86 ERA. He has been bit by the walk bug though this early season. In game two on tuesday the Sox will have Tim Wakefield who also been having his strike zone difficulty with 21 walks this season and he will face Nate Robertson who is really struggling with a 6.82 ERA and a 1-3 record. Game three will have Clay Buchholz for the Sox and he has been really good as of late with a 2-2 record and a low ERA of 3.71. Another young pitcher with the last name of Gallaraga will face the Sox in game three. He has been great so far this season with a 2-1 record and a very good ERA of 1.88. In the final game on thursday it would be the marquee matchup of Josh Beckett vs. Justin Verlander. The only problem is that Beckett has been far from his usual superior self and Verlander has been downright awful. So I would love to see the Sox come out of this series with 3 wins.
