    None of these guys were controversial in a sense that put their abilities that helped them achieve what they accomplished into question ala McGwire, Palmeiro, and even Bonds.

    That is, unless you count those who want to make a reach and put Babe's accomplishments into question in a vain effort to steer attention away from Bonds anyways.

    (I do think Bonds belongs in the Hall before you chime in, GF)

    It's not even debateable. A good debate would be Ortiz who has had a bunch of HOD seasons in a row since joining the Sox but unless he keeps it up he may nopt have done it long enough to get in.
