3 game series vs Angels

The Redsox will try to extend there 5 game winning streak as they play a mid-week 3 game series vs. L.A. Angels. This should be a great series in Fenway as both teams have been playing really good baseball and both teams have awesome offenses. The pitching match-ups are also going to be awesome with the first game between Jered Weaver and Josh Beckett. Jered Weaver has been kinda struggling out of the gate and Beckett has been great after his first start of the season was a bit shaky. If both guys are on their game this could be an awesome game. The second game on Wednesday has Jon Garland vs. Dice K. Garland has had an o.k. start to his season with a 2-2 record and an ERA in the upper 4's, but his control has been shaky. Dice K will be trying to go 5-0 with the win. He has been awesome all season long. The 3rd game of the series will match-up Joe Saunders who is probably the hottest Angels pitcher right now and Jon Lester who has been struggling. I am hoping of course the Sox can sweep the Angels, but if Lester can't get it together they may only win two of the games.

The Redsox are losing 5-3 in the 5th. Josh could not make the start as he has been suffering with flu like symptoms and came to the game with a stiff next. David Pauley made the start and went 4.1 innings.

Sox continue on the winning streak with a 7-6 win over the Angels.

Angels are leading 2-1 in the 3rd. Lester had to start on just 3 days rest. The first time he has done that in his career, because Dice-K came to park ill.

Redsox lose 6-4 and the series is all knotted up at one game a piece. There is an afternoon game today to decide to see who takes the series. C'mon Redsox.
